Salisbury University Art Gallery Projects

Overview

During my undergrad I had the pleasure and privilege to work for my university’s very own Non-profit art galleries. Throughout my three years with the establishment I became the lead designer for all things marketing and web related. Featured right is a psychedelic banner that was used during tabling events.

Posters

For every exhibition there was a new poster that I was tasked to make. Working with artist and their work was a transformative experience. Working with them and understanding their style and collectively working to display that on a piece of marketing.

The Gallery 128 poster was made to promote the opening of the re-branded art space. The vectorized gallery was aimed to let viewers get a feel for the type of space while catching the eye of juxtaposed type.

WANDERER is a poster designed for a fellow faculty’s sabbatical show. I worked closely with the artist to provide their artistic expressions adjoined with their own work in order to promote their show. The work was enhanced to make a full bleed with serif display.

FREELOAD

To accompany the poster, a postcard was requested for visitors to take with them.

This unique exhibition called for a unique poster. I chose a mono-chromatic style to contrast to the staircase of suitcases. The tip of the pyramid dashingly covers the bold title of the show while still allowing legibility.

Mura Vive Tabloid

The ‘Mura Vive | Living Walls’ tabloid was an accompanying walking text for another faculty’s sabbatical show. The goal was to create a modern sleek design with small margins and large white space. The tabloid was created in InDesign utilizing columns and margins for a symmetrical balance to the art work and text. The justified serif compliments the large images and boxes of the artists select color pallet.
